Deutsche Bank AG Continues Trend of German Investors Buying Top Trophy Buildings

The sale of 1 North Wacker Drive to a German investment fund for a record-breaking price of $415 million signals continued strong interest from institutional investors in paying top dollar for well-located "trophy" buildings in major US markets. The sales price of $310 per square foot is the highest paid on a per-square-foot basis for a downtown Chicago office building since the late 1980s.
