Jeffrey Rouze purchased the 52-unit Historic Hillview Apartments at 6531 Hollywood Blvd. on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Total consideration for the deal was valued at $3.75 million, or $72,115 per unit. The 60,000-square-foot building was built in 1927 by film tycoon Jesse L. Lasky. As the new owner, Rouze will begin a comprehensive restoration of the building due to be completed by December 2003. Rouze, who is credited with saving the El Capitan Theatre, will oversee the restoration. Hillview has been vacant since 1994 when it was severely damaged in the Northridge Earthquake. John Tronson and Steven Tronson of Ramsey-Shilling represented Rouze. The seller, Jeff Greene, represented himself.
