Compac Corp. Heats Up Bilby Road

Manufacturer Signs Long-Term Lease for Build-to-Suit Property

Compac Corp., a division of TriMas Corp. of Greenwich, CT, signed a long-term lease for a property yet to be built at Bilby Road in Hackettstown, NJ. The 182,000-square-foot office/assembly/distribution facility is expected to break ground in November, with delivery scheduled for early next summer. The building, which will sit on 15 acres, will feature six loading docks, two drive-ins and approximately 25,000 square feet of R&D space. The landlord, North Jersey Development Group, will serve as the builder/developer of the project. The company, which has in-house construction and architectural departments, has done several build-to-suits over the last few years in Morris County and now Warren County. Dan Cohen, principal, represented North Jersey Development Group Inc. in-house. Thomas Mallaney of the Paramus CB Richard Ellis office and Timothy Morris of Corvus International in Bloomfield Hills, MI, represented Compac. Compac is a manufacturer of flame retardant vapors and pressure sensitive tapes.
