Currie Partners, the owner/developer of the Rio San Diego Plaza, recently hired KMA Architecture and Engineering to design Phase II of the office project located on 4.475 acres at the corner of Friars Road and Rio Bonito Way in Mission Valley. Plans call for a new three-story, 75,000-square-foot office facility with a two-story lobby and two outdoor decks off the third floor and a target completion date of fall 2003. The design elements of the second phase will resemble the first phase with tinted high performance glass and curvilinear forms. The office project is valued at $12.5 million.
