A group that includes the San Diego Padres baseball team and real estate developer Tishman Speyer has been selected to redevelop a city-owned downtown parking lot near baseball’s Petco Park with new, mixed-use elements such as offices and apartments. It beat out a proposed rival concept from Brookfield Properties.
