Principal Makes $10.8M Acquisition

Boston Properties Sells Hayward Warehouse

Principal Financial Group, the nation's sixth largest institutional real estate manager, acquired 2391-2399 West Winton Ave. in Hayward, CA, from Boston Properties (NYSE: BXP) for approximately $10.8 million, or about $50 per square foot. The 220,213-square-foot warehouse building is 100% leased to Restoration Hardware and Sweet Paper Sales Corp., however, Restoration Hardware's 160,213-square-foot space is currently available for sublease. Located on a 9.62-acre corner site with 257 surface parking spaces, the property features 26'-28' clear ceiling height, 16 levelators, 33 dock-high doors, four drive-in doors, rail service and cross dock capability. Greig Lagomasino with Colliers International in Oakland represented Boston Properties. Principal Financial Group was represented in-house.
