CPK sold the 5-story 144,000-square-foot industrial facility located at 210 South Des Plaines St. in Chicago, IL. Conversion, Marketing, & Management purchased the facility for $7.2 million, $50 per square foot. The property was not formally marketed for sale. According to Brain Colson of NAI Hiffman, who represented the buyer in the transaction, Conversion, Marketing, & Management plans to convert the building into a 224-unit condo development. The extent of the work is to demolish half of the building and construct a 22-story tower/parking garage onto the remaining 7-story building. Colson said the total construction package is worth in excess of $60 million. Hiffman's Dennis Hiffman and John McGuiniss represented CPK in the deal.
