Grace Building Gets European Bank

30,450 SF Leased at 1114 Avenue of Americas

Eurohypo AG, one of Europe’s leading banks for real estate and public sector financing, is opening up its first U.S. branch at The Grace Building, 1114 Avenue of Americas. The bank signed a 10-year lease to occupy an entire floor of 30,450 square feet. John Maher and Evan Lavery of CB Richard Ellis were the agents for the bank, while David Kaufman was the in-house agent for the landlord, Trizec Properties Inc. Eurohypo AG was established by means of a merger between Deutsche Hyp, Rheinhyp and Eurohypo. Its major shareholders are Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Bank. The bank is also planning to open representative offices in Chicago and Los Angeles.
