Papatheofanis, operating under the name Aequitas Consulting Group, purchased the 13,731-square-foot office building located at 1545 Faraday Ave. in Carlsbad, CA, for approximately $2.5 million or about $182 per square foot. Aequitas Consulting Group is a healthcare consulting firm that advises senior-level management in health care organizations on issues of strategy formulation, implementation, processes, and operations. The buyer will occupy the 9,031 square feet in the building not occupied by the seller, HIJK Inc., which will remain in its 4,700 square feet of space. Brian Lukacz of Foster & Co. represented the buyer. Dave Steffy of BRE Commercial/NAI represented the seller.
