Optelecom Opts for Germantown

Gaithersburg-Based Company Leases 30,000 SF At Cloverleaf Center 2

Optelecom signed a 10-year lease for 30,000 square feet at Cloverleaf Center 2 at 12920 Cloverleaf Center Drive in Germantown, MD. Optelecom, a Gaithersburg-based company that designs and manufactures communication products that transport data, video, and audio over high-speed internet, ethernet, and fiber optic cables, is leasing space formerly occupied by Acterna. Amy Davis, Andrew Cole and Robin Burke of CB Richard Ellis represented the sub-landlord in the deal. Spaulding & Slye Colliers vice presidents Craig Estey and Morgan Sullivan, along with associate Brooks Brown, represented the tenant. Cloverleaf Center 2 is a multi-building flex project owned by Glenborough Realty Trust. Optelecom will occupy the entire building beginning February 2003.
