A part of historic downtown Danbury, CT now belongs to The First Portuguese-Speaking Baptist Church. It purchased a three-story, 12,700-square-foot building at 234 Main St. in Danbury for $1 million or $78.74 per square foot. This purchase is representative of the growing downtown Danbury market, as well as the increase of the Brazilian population within the vicinity. The church is expanding to meet the needs of its populace. "There is a high demand for services for the Brazilian population in Danbury," said Michael Dimyan, vice president of Tower Realty Corp. "It is growing dramatically." Dimyan represented the seller. Scalzo Realty represented the buyer for this deal.
