Inn Sells for $2.35 Million

Portofino Beach Inn in Encinitas Goes for $60,256/Room

ALPS Group Inc., based in Encinitas, purchased the 39-room Portofino Beach Inn at 186 North Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas, CA. Tamer Tamer Salameh, based in San Diego, sold the 14,728-square-foot hotel for $2.325 million, or $60,256 per room. At the time of sale, the room rates averaged $79-$89 during the off-season and $99-$149 during the high season. The hotel has a large spa and laundry service and offers its guests a continental breakfast. Oliver and Sachin Shah of Atlas Hospitality Group in Costa Mesa, CA, represented the seller. Vache Darakdjian, also of Atlas Hospitality Group, represented the buyer.
