Wildewood Center in California Sells for $11.3 Million

The Wildewood Center, one of St. Mary's County, MD's largest shopping centers sold for $11.3 million to UIG LLC. Located in California, MD two miles from Lexington Park, the center is 267,000 square feet. The Maryland-based investment firm specializing in retail centers purchased the center from Wildwood Holdings LLC. J.C. Penney’s and Belk Department Store anchor it. There are 26 other tenants including Sears Home Appliances, Bay Books, Duron Paint, Pro-Fitness, First Virginia Bank and an Outback Steakhouse. During feasibility, a vacant 32,000-square-foot Super Fresh, which closed in January, was leased to McKay’s Food & Drug, a multi-store local chain.
