Momentum in industrial properties near San Diego fades following rise in tariffs

The Otay Mesa land border is the busiest port for imports between the United States and Mexico in California. Roughly $50 billion in trade crosses through the Otay Mesa Port of Entry annually, according to government data. Most of the goods imported through the port fill warehouses in Otay Mesa before being distributed through the region, where roughly 25 million people live within 250 miles of the port.
