Campus For Jewish Life acquired Sun Microsystems’ headquarters at 901 San Antonio Road in Palo Alto, CA for a reported $35 million, or $136.72 per square foot. Built in 1966 and renovated in 1980, the 5-story flex building totals 256,000 square feet on 12.1 acres with 320’ frontage on East Charleston Road. Campus for Jewish Life, a partnership between the Jewish Community Federation and the Jewish Community Center, will use the site to house the Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center and several Peninsula Jewish organizations. Potential occupants include the Mid-Peninsula Jewish Day School, Kehilla Jewish High School, Jewish Community Relations Council, New Bridges and the Bureau of Jewish Education. A retail center, health club and assisted living facility are also envisioned. Gary Willard of BT Commercial Real Estate-NAI in Burlingame represented the seller, Sun Microsystems.
