A decision by golf cart manufacturer Eagle Products to lease a multi-bay warehouse in Augusta, Georgia, is generating new jobs and economic activity for an industrial corridor in the county.
Augusta is probably best known as the home of the Masters golf tournament. It also happens to be home to Eagle Part & Products, a golf cart dealership that sells new and preowned vehicles for the course. Eagle Products also offers electric scooters, custom seat kits and other sport cabs.
Eagle Products' lease of the warehouse at 1840 Gordon Highway provided a new spark of economic activity to an underused business corridor, earning the deal a 2026 CoStar Impact Award, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
About the project: The property, which spans 7 acres, was recently modernized to include new roofing, LED lighting, an upgraded fire suppression system and more.
What the judges said: "We know that job creation in distressed areas is significantly more effective at raising local employment rates," said Timothy McFalls, manager of Commercial and Retail Development at Augusta Economic Development Authority. "Even small shifts in increased employment rates can last for decades, improving local tax bases and social outcomes, such as reduced crime and better mental health for residents, which this area is in dire need."
They made it happen: Damien Lanclos, managing director of SVN KD Lanclos & Associates, represented the landlord.
