In an effort to help New York City recover from the economic fallout of the pandemic, the state of New York plans $51 billion in redevelopment for west Midtown Manhattan that includes expanding the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, reconstructing Penn Station, replacing the Port Authority Bus Terminal and creating more than 20 million square feet of commercial space.
