American Express Financial Advisors signed a 5-year renewal for 13,696 square feet, a portion of the 2nd and 4th floors, of 8910 University Center Lane in La Jolla, CA. The total consideration was valued at approximately $2,790,000. The 11-story, 210,719-square-foot Aventine office complex, constructed in 1990, offers a complete environment that combines business with pleasure in a magnificent setting. Michael Graves' neo-Greco-Roman architecture makes a dramatic impression. The graceful lobbies, unique interior spaces and generous use of windows offer an elegant and refreshing work environment. The Aventine complex features distinctive restaurants - Fleming's Steakhouse, Ristorante Pasquale, Cafe Japengo and Palomino Euro Bistro - the first-class Hyatt Regency La Jolla Hotel, and the Sporting Club at Aventine sports facilities. Dan Runyon, Steve Wolf, and Mark Wayne of Burnham Real Estate Services represented the landlord, Whitehall Opportunity Fund XI. David Crabb of Trammell Crow represented the tenant, American Express Financial Advisors.
