The Town of Brookhaven has made an offer to Allstate Insurance Inc. for the company's 3-story, 221,382-square-foot office building in Farmingville, NY. Allstate has downsized throughout the years from approximately 1,000 employees at 1 Allstate Drive to its current level of approximately 500. The Town of Brookhaven currently occupies numerous buildings in Medford and would like to consolidate. The building is located 1.4 miles from the LIE near Exit 63 and N. Ocean Ave., has a large conferencing facility, and parking for 950. Don Catalano and John Hoblin of Commack-based Corporate Realty Consultants are representing Allstate. Brookhaven supervisor, John Jay LaValle has also been instrumental in negotiations thus far.
