Wilmer Cutler & Pickering, an international law firm with seven offices in the United States and Europe, is moving its New York City office to 399 Park Ave. from 520 Madison Ave. WCP leased the entire 29th, 30th and 31st floors for a total of 72,372 square feet. The space originally was offered as a sublease from Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker, but the deal was structured so that WCP could sign a 10-year direct lease. Representing Paul Hastings and the building owner, Citicorp Real Estate, were Frank Doyle and Phil Deguire of Jones Lang LaSalle. Ira Schuman of Julien J. Studley represented Wilmer Cutler & Pickering. 399 Park is located in the Plaza District submarket. The 39-story building, built in 1961, was the winner of the 1994-95 BOMA/NY award for Modernization & Restoration. It is currently 99 percent leased.
