John Turano & Sons Inc., an importer and distributor of mid- to high-end home furniture, will relocate its headquarters from a multi-level loft building in Brooklyn, NY, to the single-story 256,000-square-foot former Weldotron building. The industrial building at 1532 S. Washington Ave. in Piscataway, NJ, sits on 15 acres and is owned by The Mack Co. The property fronts I-287 close to the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. John Turano & Sons signed for a 10-year term with options to purchase the building. This transaction had an aggregate value of more than $9 million. John Turano & Sons, now in its third generation of family management, distributes furniture for Seaman's, Levitz, Hoffman Koos and others from additional facilities in Hialeah Gardens, FL, and City of Industry, CA.
