The United States Customs Service has approved Alliance Operating Services, at 400 Intermodal Parkway in Fort Worth, TX, as a Centralized Examination Station. The 321,717-square-foot building is known as Westport 9 in Hillwood's 15,000-acre AllianceTexas development. The building has a total of 36 docks and is near the Fort Worth Alliance Airport which has a fully functioning US Customs inspector, and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Intermodal Facility. Alliance Operating Services, a Hillwood subsidiary, occupies 40,000 square feet at the building and will be one of only three approved customs inspection sites in North Texas. This new Alliance Centralized Examination Station, just like the other two in South Dallas and at DFW International Airport, will function as a high-security, bonded location for any import-export goods that must pass US Customs' inspections.
