Global real estate adviser CBRE is moving its Birmingham office to Three Chamberlain Square at Paradise, the major regeneration scheme in the centre of the city.

The firm has taken a 10-year lease on 16,500 square feet on the first floor of the building. CBRE’s 150-plus staff will move in the new year, following a fit-out.

CBRE will be joining EY at the 189,000-square-foot, 10-storey building which reached practical completion at the end of May 2025 after a 24-month construction programme.

Designed by architect Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Three Chamberlain Square is targeting and has secured BREEAM Outstanding and NABERS 5* ratings at design stage.

Will Ventham, managing director of CBRE’s Birmingham office, said in a statement: “The Midlands region plays a key role across the wider CBRE UK business. Our new Birmingham office will provide a best in class home, not just for our growing local team but increasingly for the firm’s global network.

“Our space requirements have grown, and Three Chamberlain Square will allow us to accommodate more people, attract and retain the best talent and introduce additional facilities, including a client-facing business lounge, bigger event spaces and wellbeing provision for staff.”

Ross Fittall, commercial development director at Paradise's asset manager and developer MEPC, said: “Welcoming CBRE to Three Chamberlain Square and Paradise is an important endorsement of the building’s credentials and the wider offering across the estate. Its corporate focus on ensuring a sustainable future and creating an inclusive and thriving culture for its people strongly reflects our ambitions for delivering the very best new workplaces that actively support the business aspirations of our occupiers.”

The redevelopment is being brought forward through Paradise Circus Limited Partnership, a private-public joint venture with Birmingham City Council.

The private sector funding is being managed by the international business of Federated Hermes Private Markets, which has partnered with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on the first phase of the development and for One Centenary Way. MEPC is the development and asset manager.
