Construction Manager is Selected for New NHL Arena

Perini Building Co. has been chosen by the CM Selection Committee to develop the new Phoenix Coyotes Arena in Glendale, AZ. The construction is scheduled to start this Spring with a completion date set just prior to the start of the 2003-2004 hockey season. Perini is responsible for guaranteeing construction costs. When finished, the state-of-the-art arena will seat 17,500 Coyote fans. The arena is located near the Loop 101 and Glendale Ave., and is part of a 223-acre, mixed-use project that will consist of 6 million square feet of retail, entertainment, dining, office, hotel and residential development. Perini is headquartered in Phoenix and is recognized by the Arizona Business Journal as the largest commercial building contractor in the state according to 2001 annual revenues. Other facilities built by the company include Bank One Ballpark and the America West Arena in Arizona; San Jose Arena in California; the Thomas & Mack Arena in Nevada; Nashville Arena in Tennessee; and the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan.
