Italics Buys One & Sells Another

Tile Company's $4M Purchase, $3M Sale in Emeryville

Italics Ceramic Tile Corp. has purchased 1494 67th St. in Emeryville, CA, for $4.4 million. Italics bought the 68,150-square-foot industrial building from Coulter Steel & Forge Co., which leased back approximately 44,000 square feet for 2 years, with two one-year options. The tile company plans on occupying the balance of the warehouse space. In another deal in Emeryville, Italics sold its 56,000-square-foot industrial property at 1269-1274 65th St. for a reported $3 million. Italics sold the building to Pulte Home Group, which plans to develop residential lofts on the site. James Clark of Cornish & Carey Commercial ONCOR International in Emeryville represented Italics in both deals. CB Richard Ellis represented Coulter Steel & Forge Co.
