SchlumberSema Telecommunications is preparing to occupy 85,000 square feet in Pope & Land's newest development in North Fulton, 100 Milton Park. After acquiring Sema and LHS Communications in 2001, Milton Park's location provided a happy medium between Schlumberger's offices in Peachtree Corners and LHS' offices in Concourse Tower 6. Cushman & Wakefield broker Bill Kilborn represented the tenant in the 10-year deal, while Pope & Land was represented by its own De Little and Jackie Gauthreaux. In addition to the location and the prominent signage promised to the company, SchlumbergerSema also liked the development's 'new urbanism' nature. AMLI Residential is finishing up a Charleston-rowhome-style complex; while supporting retail, additional residential and office buildings are planned to be within walking distance of each other. Considering the North Fulton office market is presently 25% vacant, Pope & Land will not likely start its second proposed 150,000-square-foot building in the master-planned development without a significant prelease commitment.
