Staples has selected Orillia Station as the location for its new 23,800-square-foot store. Construction is already underway on the building, which will be part of a 50,292-square-foot shopping center at the southwest corner of 180th St. and East Valley Road. The office supply company is expected to occupy the built-to-suit store in June for a term of 15 years. Rolland Jones and John Dunton of Staubach Retail Services represented the tenant. "This site puts Staples in the bull's-eye of the East Valley," said Jones. "It provides customers with easy access from the Benson Hill/Cascade area and the dense north Kent/Orillia industrial base." Jack Evans of First Western Properties represented the landlord, Orillia Development LLC. He said the center will also host Ilario's Coffee, Happy at the Bay Teriyaki, Pho Bac Cafe, and other retailers. Negotiations are also underway with two fast food restaurants.
