Avison Young is boosting its teams across the Southeastern United States, with the firm announcing a tranche of new hires in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

The new additions strengthen the global real estate services firm's capital markets, office, industrial and retail capabilities, supporting teams across what the firm calls some of the "most dynamic regions in the country," said Christopher Fraser, principal and regional managing director for Avison Young's South region, in a press release.

Michael Fasano joins the Miami office as a senior vice president, specializing in debt placement and structuring, preferred equity and joint venture equity solutions across different property types. Fasano has been involved in over $2 billion worth of dealmaking spanning more than a decade, and most recently served as director of debt and structured finance at Ripco Real Estate.

In Atlanta, Avison Young has hired Jesse Whalen and George Bonvillain as senior vice presidents, with the two specializing in office tenant representation and occupier services across the region. Whalen has more than 16 years of sales, negotiation and client advisory experience, and most recently worked as vice president at Bull Realty. Bonvillain joins after having served as a partner at Elifin, bringing nearly a decade of experience to his new role.

In Central Florida, Greg Kelly has joined as a senior vice president in Avison Young's Tampa office, while Bill Nguyen is the firm's vice president in Orlando. Kelly specializes in industrial sales, leasing and capital markets, with over 20 years of experience representing institutional owners, Fortune 500 tenants and developers. Kelly previously served as a vice president at Kidder Mathews, while Nguyen is joining from Saunders Real Estate where he worked as an adviser.

The remaining hires joining Avison Young’s Charleston, South Carolina, office are Tyler Smith and Taylor Sekanovich as vice presidents. Smith specializes in industrial and industrial outdoor storage leasing and investment sales, while Sekanovich brings a focus on retail leasing and investment sales.

“By adding proven producers across capital markets, occupier services and agency leasing, we are scaling our platform in a way that strengthens collaboration across markets and positions us to capture the next wave of growth,” Fraser said in the press release.
