Edyn hires trio
Hotel firm Edyn, whose brands include Locke and Cove by Locke, has made three senior appointments for its European operations. Dominique Florian joins as vice president of development and design; Dan Merchant joins as chief people officer, and Darrell Spencer joins as vice president of information technology. The firm currently has 28 opened hotels in eight countries.
Anne-Jan Jager
Anne-Jan Jager has been appointed as managing director, business development and strategy, at Spanish private-equity firm Azora. He arrives from the role of managing director and co-head of real estate, Europe, at Partners Group, and he has also been executive director, investments at Tristan Capital Partners.
Joost van Beek
Joost van Beek has joined Amsterdam-based hotel firm The July as CEO following more than five years as the chief operating officer and director of operations at The Social Hub. His career also spanned almost 20 years at NH Hotel Group. The July has three opened hotels and three in its pipeline.
Luca Allegri
Luca Allegri has been named as CEO at Luxury Hotel Partners, the Spain-based hospitality group. His previous roles were as president of Le Bristol Paris, and he has been employed by such hotel groups as Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
Kerzner promotes two in UK, Northern Europe team
Kerzner International Holdings, which owns such brands as One&Only and Atlantis, has promoted two executives in its United Kingdom and Northern Europe team. Lize Smit has been promoted from account director to director of commercial and Jonathan Bellamy, who joined Kerzner from Elegant Resorts in 2024, is now account director.
Simon Bullough
Simon Bullough has been named development director at Kew Green Hotels following a period as a consultant for the firm. He has worked in hotel development since the late 1990s for such firms as Best Western Hotels, Choice Hotels Europe and Louvre Hotels Group.
