The sale of the Sofia apartment complex in west Los Angeles would be notable all on its own: the $272.5 million price tag makes it the second-biggest multifamily deal in the metropolitan area this year. Only the $307 million sale of The Glendon in the Westwood neighborhood in June was bigger. The 606-unit Sofia’s $445,000 a unit price, too, was among the highest of 2019.
