Commercial real estate investment activity has been stunted since the rapid rise in interest rates in 2022. Added to this, the office sector still faces post-pandemic challenges, both cyclical and structural. However, a recent period of stable interest rates and an upswing in office building sales are indicators that the capital markets appear to be normalizing, especially for office investors.
