Remington Hospitality, a Dallas-based hotel management company has a new CEO in Ben Perelmuter, effective June 2.

Perelmuter joins the company from TPG Hotels & Resorts, where he served as president and chief operating officer since 2023. Prior to that role, Perelmuter spent more than 15 years with Aimbridge Hospitality, starting his tenure as a general manager and finishing as a divisional president.

“I am honored to join Remington Hospitality and am excited to continue to drive the business forward,” Perelmuter said in a news release.

Monty Bennett, founder, CEO and chairman of the board at Remington's parent company Ashford Inc., said in the news release that Perelmuter's appointment "marks an exciting new chapter for Remington Hospitality."

“Ben’s energy, passion for hospitality, and focus on performance align perfectly with our vision for the future. I’m confident in his ability to build on our momentum and lead the company forward with a focus on people, purpose and profits," he said.

Perelmuter will succeed Sloan Dean, who served as Remington's CEO for the past eight years. Dean told Hotel Investment Today in late April that he would be stepping down from his role once the company found his replacement.

Remington manages a combination of branded and independent hotels in the U.S. and Latin America.

"We are deeply grateful for Sloan Dean's leadership over the past eight years as CEO of Remington Hospitality," Remington said in a statement following Dean's announcement. "Under his guidance, Remington transformed into a values-driven organization and a leading force in third-party hotel management. His focus on people, performance, and purpose helped shape a culture where passionate people thrive — a legacy that will remain the foundation of who we are."

In an interview with CoStar News Hotels at the 2025 Americas Lodging Investment Summit earlier this year, Dean said Remington was poised to jump on the trend of third-party management in the Caribbean and Latin America.

"Percentage wise, we're growing faster in CALA than anywhere else," he said. "We have basically grown 100% each year because we started from nothing. And I think we probably will do that again in '25."
