Executives

Curt Asmussen

Asmussen has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Oregon-based Obie Hospitality. Asmussen was the vice president of Obie Hospitality for five years, previously serving as managing director and earlier as general manager of Obie’s Inn at 500 Capitol hotel in Boise, Idaho.

General managers

Robert Boyd

Boyd has been appointed as general manager of the Kimpton Everly Hollywood in Los Angeles. Previously, Boyd’s career includes serving as general manager at Hotel Greystone in Miami Beach, where he most recently led the property to earn two-Michelin Key distinction.

Rick Corcoran

Corcoran has been appointed as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad in New York City. He has worked throughout the U.S., Canada and the Middle East, and has held leadership positions with The Ritz-Carlton, Baccarat Hotels, 1 Hotels, and Fairmont Hotels. Most recently, he served as general manager of Baccarat Hotel New York, earning the coveted General Manager Biggest Impact Award.

Deacon Cottrell

Cottrell has been appointed as assistant general manager of the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver in Denver. Before joining Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver, Cottrell served as general manager at Residence Inn Denver-Gateway Park, Hyatt House Denver-Aurora and Courtyard Denver Tech Center.

Fady Hanna

Hanna has been appointed as general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Sand City Monterey and Residence Inn by Marriott Sand City Monterey in Sand City, California. He previously led Monterey's Hotel Pacific through a major renovation and served as regional manager for Pacifica Host Hotels.

Robert Hannigan

Hannigan has been appointed as general manager of The Beckworth in Charlotte by Concord Hospitality. Prior to joining Concord Hospitality, he served as regional director of operations for IHG Hotels & Resorts. During his tenure with IHG, he was general manager of Charlotte’s Tryon Park Hotel.

Taylor Hart

Hart has been appointed as general manager of Balfour Miami Beach in Miami Beach, Florida. Most recently, as assistant general manager at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, he improved guest satisfaction, strengthened cross-departmental collaboration and successfully led multiple brand audits within a short time frame.

Munir Salem

Salem has been appointed as general manager of Dream Downtown in New York City. Most recently, he served as hotel manager at Thompson Central Park New York, where he helped guide the property through a period of strong performance and brand momentum in one of the city’s most competitive markets.

Sales and marketing

Shawna Ash

Ash has been appointed as director of sales at the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, Florida. She brings more than four years of experience with Mainsail Lodging & Development. Most recently, she served as senior catering sales manager at Fenway’s sister property, Epicurean Atlanta.

Paul Calvin

Calvin has been appointed as director of sales and marketing of The Kimpton Pittman Hotel in Dallas. Most recently, he served as director of sales and marketing for Graduate by Hilton Dallas, where he helped lead the hotel’s opening and oversaw group, catering, consortia and business transient sales.

Lisa Duncan

Duncan has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at Hotel Maya in Long Beach, California. She has been an integral part of the Hotel Maya team for more than a decade. Most recently serving as director of catering and convention services, she oversaw the hotel’s catering and convention operations and worked closely with clients to deliver high-performing meetings and celebrations along the waterfront.

Ginger Gibson

Gibson has been appointed as ADERO Scottsdale Resort, Autograph Collection in Scottsdale, Arizona. Most recently, Gibson served as director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Edison in Edison, New Jersey, where she led sales and marketing efforts for the 265-room property with 20,000 square feet of event space.

Megan Pierce

Pierce has been appointed as area director of sales and marketing for Sage Hospitality Group at The Rally Hotel and The Maven Hotel in Denver. She most recently served as the area director of sales and marketing, overseeing Denver’s Curtis, a DoubleTree by Hilton, and the Hotel Teatro.

Food and beverage

Jocelyn Chacon

Chacon has been appointed as chef de cuisine of Bellpine, the signature restaurant of The Ritz Carlton, Portland in Portland, Oregon. Prior to this role, Chacon served on the culinary team at Renaissance Austin, where she worked across diverse culinary programs.

Gerard Kenny

Kenny has been appointed as executive chef of Hotel Viata in Austin, Texas. His career includes leadership roles at acclaimed properties such as The Inn at Dos Brisas in Washington, Texas, and Four Seasons Houston, as well as executive chef and executive sous chef positions at some of Austin’s most respected dining destinations.

Diego Ortega Oneto

Ortega has been appointed as executive chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida. He built an international career that includes culinary leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Dubai, and Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, as well as The St. Regis Bahia Beach. He further refined his craft at Hotel Arts Barcelona, training under two-Michelin-starred chef Paco Pérez.

Todd Richards

Richards has been appointed as executive chef of the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead in Atlanta. He previously served as the opening chef for One Flew South at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where his team made history as the first airport restaurant to contend for a James Beard Award, and he is the chef and part-owner of popular soul food spot Soul: Food & Culture at Krog Street Market.

Miscellaneous

Kevin Herbst

Herbst has been appointed as area managing director of Emeline and The Ryder Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina. He joins Emeline and The Ryder Hotel with a distinguished background spanning lifestyle, boutique and luxury hospitality. Over the years, Herbst has led multiple properties through periods of growth, brand evolution and operational transformation.
