Oak Brook, Illinois-based CenterPoint Properties promoted Ross Straseske to executive vice president and chief financial officer. The move makes permanent a role he had taken on in an interim capacity this year at the industrial real estate firm.
Straseske joined CenterPoint in 2021, beginning his tenure with the firm as development controller and having held additional roles such as vice president of development accounting and analysis and senior vice president of finance. He joined CenterPoint from global real estate investment manager Heitman. Before that, he served 14 years at Big 4 accounting firm PwC.
Eddie Viliunas joined Stream Realty Partners as a senior vice president of office tenant representation at the firm’s Chicago office. In his new role, Viliunas will work with Managing Directors Phil Geiger and Jordan Decker to expand Stream’s tenant representation capabilities across the market, advising clients on office leasing, transaction execution and long-term real estate strategies. He joins from JLL, where he spent over 10 years as a member of the brokerage’s Chicago Tenant Representation team.
John Topping joined JLL’s Atlanta investment sales and advisory platform as a senior director. In his new role, Topping will focus on multihousing investment opportunities and advisory transactions throughout Atlanta and the greater Southeast, JLL said. Joining JLL from Global Real Estate Advisors, he brings over 13 years of experience to the role.
He previously worked at Newmark Knight Frank, SRS Real Estate Partners and Marcus & Millichap.
Rudin said Steven McKessey joined the New York-based owner and developer as head of design and construction and will oversee the firm's 13.1 million-square-foot commercial and multifamily portfolio. He also will direct capital planning, design and construction activities across all Rudin properties and oversee delivery of future development and redevelopment projects. He joined Rudin after working for nearly seven years at Cumming Group. He also held positions McKinsey & Co., Accenture and Turner Construction during his 20-plus-year career.
Lisa Goodwin has joined 1788 Holdings as principal of the Falls Church, Virginia-based investment firm's institutional investment platform. Goodwin will set the platform's strategic direction and oversee capital raising and value creation, including cultivating relationships with brokers, capital markets players, property owners and investors seeking exposure to mid-size industrial projects in primary and secondary markets. A 30-year commercial real estate veteran, she joins from MRP Industrial and has held prior roles at Lincoln Property Trust, New Boston Fund and Archon Group.
Clise Properties named Benjamin Freeburg as chief financial officer to succeed Bryan Joyner, who is retiring at the end of the year after 34 years with the Seattle-based firm. Freeburg brings more than 20 years of real estate finance experience, most recently having served as CFO at Martin Selig Real Estate. Before that, he held leadership roles including chief financial officer at Aegis Living and at Echelon Capital, formerly Summit Capital Management. Freeburg began his career at BlackRock.
Mark Dickinson has joined Vida Cos. as vice president of capital markets. Marisa Green also joined the firm as Vida's director of capital markets. Both will focus on the Atlanta-based multifamily and built-to-rent developer's Vida Funds business as it prepares Fund II, the company said. Dickinson, based in Southern California, will oversee investor relationships across the fund’s offerings, with Green to partner with advisors and investors across the Vida platform, the firm said.
Dickinson, who has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience, previously served as a U.S. Navy salvage diver. Green joined Vida from Lukrom, where she served as regional sales director.
