Fayette County, Georgia, once known mostly for its well-regarded schools, golf-cart community near Peachtree City and for being one of the southern-edge suburbs of suburban-happy Atlanta, is undergoing major changes. What was once hills of farmland on a relatively quiet stretch of road along Veterans Parkway and Sandy Creek Road has become a burgeoning collection of movie studios with the much-heralded arrival of Pinewood Studios Atlanta in 2014.
