Promoted to managing director at business consultancy HVS London. She has been at the firm, working on hotel industry projects and related assignments throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa, for more than 20 years in the position of senior director.

Promoted to executive director of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific at Virgin Hotels Collection. Based in London, Rothery previously was regional director of sales and has also worked for Virgin’s space program Virgin Galactic.

Appointed chief operating officer at luxury hotel firm Pellicano Hotels Group, which has three hotels, all of which are in Italy. It is a return for Pirozzini, who was at the group for three years as area general manager but most recently was managing director of hotel firm Belmont’s Splendido Mare hotel in Portofino.

Appointed chief operating officer at Rotana Hotels & Resorts, arriving from his previous role as senior vice president of operations for the Middle East and Asia at Accor brand Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

Hired as group chief strategy officer at Accor, starting on Oct. 1. Until that date, she remains global CEO at business consultancy JLL Hotels & Hospitality, where she has been working for nearly 20 years. She will relocate to Paris from New York City and be on the French hotel firm’s management board.

Appointed agent account manager at investor Lamington Group, which owns the Room2 hotel brand. She is entering the hotel industry, having previously been a residential mortgage broker.

Appointed managing director and regional vice president of operations for Europe and the Middle East at luxury hotel Langham London. His new role follows two years as opening general manager at the Jeddah Edition, the Marriott-branded hotel due to open in Saudi Arabia by the end of this year.

Hired as general manager of the Kimpton Blythswood Square in Glasgow, Scotland. It is a homecoming for Moran, who most recently was general manager at Hotel X Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, Australia — a hotel under the flag of Kimpton’s parent company, IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Appointed chief commercial officer at family owner-operator The Doyle Collection. She has spent almost seven years as regional director of sales and marketing at Como Hotels & Resorts.
