Landing a major international mobility brand in the heart of Tulsa’s urban core, Legacy Commercial Property Advisors helped drive jobs and investment in the city’s central business district.

Sixt Rent a Car leased 41,300 square feet of space within One Technology Center in downtown Tulsa in March 2025. A Legacy release announcing the deal noted the Tulsa office was set to employ 70 people in its first year with employment in the space anticipated to grow to 200 in the initial five years of the lease.

The office acts as a hub for the company’s North American operations as part of Sixt’s expansion plans across the continent, according to a Sixt release.

“We are excited to establish our presence in Tulsa and become an integral part of this dynamic and fast-growing city,” Sixt North America President Tom Kennedy stated in the release. “This new office will enhance our ability to support branches and customers across multiple time zones, ensuring seamless service as we scale our operations.”

Sixt picked Tulsa’s One Technology Center for its modern infrastructure, connectivity and large block availability, Legacy officials said. Situated in Tulsa’s central business district, the 15-story, 700,000-square-foot Class A office tower was originally developed as the headquarters for Williams Communications before it was acquired in 2007 by the Tulsa Public Facilities Authority, according to the Legacy release.

The lease earned a 2026 CoStar Impact Award, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the Tulsa market.

About the project: An international provider of mobility and rental car services, Sixt was founded in Munich, Germany, in 1912, according to its website. Since launching its U.S. operations in 2011, Sixt now serves 55 major U.S. airports, operating more than 120 branches across 26 states.

What the judges said: “This lease brought a new global brand into Tulsa, driving jobs and general economic development,” said Meagan McCollum, director of the Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Tulsa. “It also elevated the position of One Technology Center in the marketplace as premier office space, which I anticipate will have positive follow on effects for future leasing activity in the building.”

They made it happen: Brokers Lisa Brandes, William P. Beichler and David Looney of Legacy Commercial Property Advisors represented the landlord.
