Canary Wharf lodges formal objection to BL's Canada Water plans

Canary Wharf Group has submitted a formal objection to British Land’s masterplan for a major homes and business district at Canada Water, a tube stop away from the Canary Wharf estate, citing “significant inadequacies” in the transport assessments and in particular a lack of transport improvements.

British Land entered into a Master Development Agreement with Southwark Council in May and submitted an outline planning application for the Canada Water Masterplan, one of London’s largest development projects which will create an urban centre in between the City of London and the Canary Wharf estate.
