Real estate specialist Pantera Advisory Group has launched a specialist division serving the insolvency and lending markets.

Pantera Valuation Services, which will operate out of London and new 4,000-square-foot offices in Harrogate, will be led by recruit Kevin Counihan, managing director, alongside Pantera Advisory Group founder and chief executive, Tom Snook.

"The new division will broaden the group’s services alongside its full-service property advisory business, Pantera Property," the group said.

Pantera Valuation Services will provide a full range of valuation services for clients across the UK, with a particular focus on supporting the insolvency profession.

Counihan joins from global valuation firm SIA in London, where he spent a decade as head of restructuring valuation services. He brings more than 20 years’ experience advising insolvency practitioners, lenders and corporates on asset valuation and recovery.

Counihan said in a statement: "Pantera Valuation Services brings together asset valuation and real estate sector valuation expertise with the agility of a fast-growing, independent business.

"Our aim is to deliver a highly responsive, specialist service to clients navigating complex restructuring and insolvency challenges."

Snook added: "The launch of Pantera Valuation Services, after almost a decade in business, marks a major milestone in Pantera’s growth.

"We’re building a truly integrated platform of specialist service providers that can support clients across every stage of the property and asset lifecycle, from valuation and agency through to management and recovery.

"Kevin’s track record in the asset valuation sector is exceptional, and his leadership will be instrumental in taking this new business forward."
