Channel 4 shortlists seven cities and six regions for non-London HQ and two creative hubs

Channel 4 has announced a 13-strong second-stage shortlist of cities and regions outside of the UK capital for the broadcaster’s national headquarters and two creative hubs.

The publicly-owned broadcaster, which is entirely funded by advertising, aims to move into the two new non-London locations in 2019. The move to what the broadcaster calls a “multi-site operating model” includes creating an initial regionally-based 300 jobs.
