Honolulu’s Unemployment Rate Falls to Lowest Level Since March 2020

While Improving, Employment Still Not Back to Pre-Pandemic Levels

The unemployment rate for Honolulu, Hawaii's state capital and principal employment center located on the island of Oahu, dropped to 3.8% in January, the lowest level since March 2020, according to the latest jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That bests Hawaii’s overall unemployment rate of 4.4% and matches the average rate for the U.S.
