Bestseller billionaire tipped to add to plum Oxford Street development opportunity

Secretive Danish billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen, the owner of retail group Bestseller, is understood to be the private purchaser set to buy a further two properties close to the new Crossrail Station at Oxford Street and Hanover Square as he continues to assemble a giant development opportunity on London’s key retail thoroughfare.

Market sources this week said a private investor is buying No. 16 Hanover Square for circa £20m from a private landlord while another private investor, thought to be the same party, is in talks to buy the adjoining 4 Tenterden Street for circa £50m.
