Khan calls in planning application refused by Kensington & Chelsea over affordable housing 'failure'

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has ‘called in’ a development that has been refused in Kensington and Chelsea, which includes new affordable homes, a doctors surgery, a public square and step-free access to the local tube station.

His reasons for calling in the application include Kensington and Chelsea’s "consistent failure to meet targets for new and affordable homes: last year (2016-17), only 17 affordable homes were given planning permission by the Council".
