The Florida Senate just passed a bill on June 16 that, if signed into law, will repeal the state's business rent tax as of October 1, 2025. The move is expected to result in an additional $900 million in tax relief for businesses throughout Florida. It includes both the state sales tax rate and the discretionary surtax that counties can levy on commercial leases.
