Ontario property owners have lost up to $30,000 in uncollected rental income from a single apartment unit because of a lengthy backlog in the provincially run process to legally evict tenants who fail to pay rent, according to Tony Irwin, CEO of the Federation of Rental-housing Providers of Ontario, who says that many landlords have expressed frustration with the delays.
