Revo leads on retail industry disabled access initiative

Revo, the retail property and place-making organisation and intu, have gathered for the first time leading landlords and retailers at a Ministerial event, with Sarah Newton, Minister of State for Disabled People, Health and Work, to launch Revo’s Accessible Places Toolkit aimed at supporting the industry and addressing the barriers faced by disabled people in accessing shops and services.

The partners said: "Shopping and accessing entertainment come high on disabled people’s list of challenging experiences and Revo is determined to support its members in addressing this. With the purple pound, the combined disposable income of UK’s disabled people is worth £249bn a year, improving social equality in this area will be beneficial to people, communities and businesses."
