Network Rail eyeing partner for massive East Croydon offices scheme

Network Rail is set to go to market next year seeking a development partner for in excess of 1m sq ft of over station offices development at East Croydon as part of a major upgrade of the Brighton Main Line, CoStar News can reveal.

Speaking on a panel moderated by CoStar News at yesterday’s Develop Croydon conference in the South London town, Ben Craig, senior programme development manager, Network Rail, said early stage masterplanning work had begun in negotiation with key stakeholders on land surrounding East Croydon station for a major development scheme that would ultimately help to fund plans for a redeveloped station and new tracks as part of the proposed long term upgrade to the Brighton Mainline railway.
