Sidewalks Labs, a sister company to Google and Alphabet Inc.'s urban innovation organization, is defining for the first time that its proposal to develop the Toronto waterfront would involve a $1.3 billion investment on 190 acres to create an area made entirely out of timber, with thermal and advanced energy grids, heated bike lanes and the ability to record data on all inhabitants.
