Investors pour £2.8bn into UK student housing

The UK student accommodation sector has attracted £2.85bn so far this year driven by large portfolio deals and strong demand from investors around the globe, figures from CBRE show.

Over £790m has been invested by Canada in 2017, with Liberty Living, a student housing platform owned by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board extending its business through the purchase of the Union State portfolio for £458m.
