Supermarket Income REIT buys £80m Sainsbury's store

Supermarket Income REIT has made its third acquisition since floating on London's main market last month,buying the freehold of the Sainsbury’s Bybrook Superstore in Ashford, Kent, for £80m (net of acquisition costs).

The 125,000 sq ft store, which sits on a 17-acre site, was acquired from National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society at a price reflecting a net initial yield of 4.5% after the next agreed RPI-linked rent review this month.
